We proudly minister to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals across the Lowcountry area of South Carolina. The Deaf and Hard of Hearing people are a unique, vibrant, and active group with their own language and culture. They reside here in the state with their own activities, organizations, and daily lives/jobs. They live in the same way as other hearing people in the world, but there is one factor that affects this community in all facets of life: communicating with those who can hear. Cultural Deaf people typically communicate information and express themselves using American Sign Language (ASL). In the Lowcountry area, there are not many places a Deaf person can worship using American Sign Language.
LOWCOUNTRY DEAF CHURCH is affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Conference of the Deaf –
